Javanese Traditional Clothing (Beskap)

Hi, everyone. What's up? Today I'm going to give you some information about one of traditional clothing from Javanese named Beskap. Hope you guys enjoy this.

Beskap

Beskap is one type of upper clothing in Jawi Jangkep, but along with it's development it is often worn separately. The tradition of using Beskap has existed since the days of Mataram at the end of the 18th century. The shaped of a folded shirt and collared shirt, Beskap usually uses plain fabric colors. The buttons on the Beskap are located on the right and left side and the side button pattern. Like the upper clothing for Jawi Jangkep, the back of the Beskap is open for Kris. 

There are 4 types of Beskap. They are :
  • Beskap Solo style, which is a type of Beskap inspired by the cultural standard of the Kasunan Palace.

  • Beskap Yogya style, this type of Beskap refers to the standard of the Sultanate.

The reason I choose Beskap is I was used it when my unlce married. It such a great cloth that I ever used. It's a bit hot but feel comfortable and I loved the cloth. Gado-Gado (Mix Vegetables with the Peanut Sauce)

Hi, everyone. What's up? Today I want to give you some information about one of the popular and delicious Traditional Food from Indonesia. It's Gado-Gado. Hope you guys enjoy this.

Gado-Gado

Gado-gado is one of traditional food originating from Indonesia in the form of vegetables which are boiled and mixed together, with peanut sauce and mashed together with sliced eggs and in general many add mashed potatoes then topped with fried onion. Then add a little fried chips or crackers which add more tasted from gado-gado. Gado-gado can be eaten liked a salad with peanut sauce, but can also be eaten along with rice but sometimes with rice cake.

Vegetables that are often used can vary, although the vegetables that are commonly used are:
  • Small sliced green vegetables such as lettuce, cabbage, cauliflower, long beans, and bean sprouts.
  • Carrot and cucumber.
  • Tomato.
  • Sliced boiled potatoes.
  • Boiled eggs.
  • Tempe and tofu
One of the differences in gado-gado from other vegetables salads is the peanut sauce. The peanut sauce ingredients are :
  • Mashed peanuts.
  • Garlic.
  • Chili and Pepper.
  • Lime Juice.
  • Salt and Brown Sugar.
The reason I choose gado-gado is because gado-gado is commonly and easily to found. Except that, the taste of gado-gado is more delicious then another international salads. Clogs Race

Hi everyone. What's up? Today, I want to give you some information about a traditional game from Indonesia, named Clogs or in Bahasa is Bakiak. Hope you guys enjoy it.


Clogs Race or Lomba Bakiak

Clogs is a traditional game from West Sumatra. Children from West Sumatra who were born until the mid-1970s, often and usually play these clogs. Long clogs or what is often called a pumping pump in West Sumatra is a row of long rubber straps. A pair of 'clogs' must have at least three pairs of sandals or played by three children. Unlike the case with the area of West Sumatra, clogs are the name in Central Java for a kind of sandal that has a lightweight wooden sole with a foot strap made of used tires nailed to both sides.

And this is how to play Clogs Race.
  1. Clogs are used like footwear by 3 players in 1 group.
  2. Then enter the foot into the slot area, like in the picture
  3. Each player should be connected as one. Because they are should walk together and move each legs together and move a step together. Right with right, left with left.
  4. And this game should be played more then 1 group, at least 2 group. Because this game determines who is faster. The faster is the winner.

Benefit of Clogs Race.
  1. Train Body Member Coordination. This game is good for training coordination of the limbs, because when playing clogs, move your body and legs to move simultaneously.
  2. Train Your Patience. Playing clogs really requires high energy and patience because it requires concentration and balance to move so as not to fall.
  3. Train a Teamwork. These clogs games can train in collaboration with teammates. When we play clogs, we will balance leg movements between legs.

The reason I choose Clogs Race is because the benefit of playing Clogs Race is very useful. Besides it's one of traditional games from Indonesia, it's really fun game not inferior to modern games. Sundanese Ethnic

SUNDANESE ETHNIC

Sundanese are the second-largest ethnic group in Indonesia after Javanese. Sundanese ethnic are an ethnic group originating from western of Java island. The vast majority live on Java island.
Most Sundanese Located

Sundanese language are bilingual, which they are speak both their native tongue, Sundanese and Indonesian language. Generally, Sundanese-people used their own language (Sunda language) while they are speak with family members and friends, but when in public, they used Indonesian. Sundanese extremely diverse with various regional dialects. All are divided into different levels of formality depending on the social status of the person being addressed. For example, when they are speak with their parents or older they used formality language, but when they're speak to their friends or younger they used daily language.

The majority religion of this ethnic is Muslim, although some Christian, Catholic, even Sunda wiwitan.
Sundanese people known as the polite and soft person. They speak softly, and politely when they are meet other people even tourist. Formal greetings are made by bowing the head and upper body. And there is also some unique handshake. The hands are held together in front of the chest with fingers outstretched, and the fingertips touch the tips of the other person fingers.
Kinship of Sundanese is bilateral, it's descent lines are traced through both father and mother. The smallest kin group is the nuclear family of parents and their children. Members of a nuclear family usually live in their own house.
There are some cultural relics exist in Sundanese, consist of clothing, food, traditional dance, traditional music instrument, etc. Traditional Sundanese clothing for women consist of a Kebaya and a Sarung. Sometime, the women used Blangkon (at her hair). Men also wear a Sarung but their not wear a Kebaya, men wear a long-sleeved Batik shirt.

Sundanese food known as one of ethnic with culinary wealth. Sundanese traditional foods are processed with tastes that are tasty and attractive. They are Soto Kuning Bogor, Cilok, Nasi Timbel, Empal Gentong, etc. It would be wasting time if tell all of foods in Sundanese.

There is also traditional dance and music instrument. Generally, there is 9 traditional dance exist in Sundanese, they are Tari Topeng, Tari Merak, Tari Ketuk Tilu, Tari Wayang, Tari Jaipong, Tari Keurseus, Tari Buyung, Tari Ronggeng Bugis, and Tari Sampiung. Then music instrument. There are 5 popular music that still exist. They are Degung, Kecapi, Suling, Angklung, and Karinding.

The reason I choose Sundanese ethnic is because Sundanese ethnic is so close with me. It because I live in West Java it seems that I should know and proud of my own culture based on where I lived.
